Zusammenfassung

We used big data from passive location events recorded by smartphones vie the wetter.com-application to determine levels of seasonality for 11 PoI in the years 2022 and 2023. We use three seasonality indicators to assess the level of seasonality: Relative TCSI, corrected Gini and the share of the top 3 weeks in a year. Results show significant differences between PoI and between years, but a high correlation between indicators. Results can be used as reference points for other research on PoI seasonality.
