“ON AIR” – the public exchange on the topic of digital visitor guidance enters its third round

For the third time, those involved in the nationwide research project “AI-based Recommender for Sustainable Tourism (AIR)” are inviting people to a public discussion on the topic of digital visitor guidance. All interested destinations and tourism stakeholders are cordially invited to the approximately one-and-a-half-hour exchange on September 14 at 10:00 a.m. Registration in advance is not necessary. The exchange will take place digitally via Zoom: https://fh-westkueste-de.zoom.us/j/69552944214 What is AIR? Since the beginning of 2022, the project participants have been working together to develop digital options to avoid the temporary congestion of travel and excursion destinations through targeted visitor information and to identify suitable alternatives. The aim is to achieve the equalization of visitor flows with the help of a recommender so that a contribution can be made to more sustainable tourism development. The project is being funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) until the end of 2024. Further information on the project and the project participants can be found at https://di-tourismusforschung.de/de/details-zu-projekte/ai-basierter-recommender-fuer-nachhaltigen-tourismus-air and www.air-tourism.de.
