Maturity model Smart Destination: Further round of workshops in September

Following the successful launch in spring, the workshops on the maturity model Smart Destination are entering the next round. The DI Tourismusforschung and Tourismus NRW e.V. are continuing their research cooperation and are once again inviting participants to four workshops in September. These offer interested destinations throughout the DACH region the opportunity to take an in-depth look at the Smart Destination maturity model. During the workshops, participants can analyze the status quo of digital development in their destination and identify possible fields of action. The workshops cover the three core elements of Smart Destination (data infrastructure, digital applications, digital equipment) and the Smart DMO. One core element per workshop will be examined in more detail and the respective self-check will be completed together. Please register in advance:

The workshops are aimed at all destination managers in the DACH region who deal with digitalization in tourism in their daily work. Previous knowledge of the maturity model is helpful, but not necessary. The guide Smart Destination, which was published as part of the research cooperation and recently updated, provides comprehensive information and can be used for preparation.

The maturity model Smart Destination was developed with partners from all tourism regions in North Rhine-Westphalia. It was commissioned by Tourismus NRW e.V. as part of the Smart Destination cluster, which was part of the funded project "Tourist data management NRW: open, networked, digital". After the end of the implementation period in May 2023, the maturity model will be further developed by the German Institute for Tourism Research and in cooperation with the Tourismus NRW e.V....
