ICNT Meets Again for the First Time Since the Pandemic

On September 20 and 21, 2026, members of the International Competence Network of Tourism Research and Education (ICNT) gathered for a joint meeting for the first time since the pandemic.

The ICNT brings together international universities in the field of tourism. The network facilitates regular exchange on research and teaching. Intercultural dialogue on current topics in tourism studies and practice broadens the knowledge of all members and strengthens professionalism in tourism education and research.

The event kicked off on Sunday with a social program that included coffee and cake, a historical walking tour of Husum, and a group dinner, all of which provided opportunities for personal conversations. The highlight of the gathering was Monday’s workshop: Participants developed ideas for joint research projects and discussed the future of the network.
