Announcement: “Forum Digitalization” continues – Invitation to the event on 09 February 2023
For the first time since the start of the pandemic, the FH Westküste University of Applied Sciences is once again hosting the ‘Forum: Digitalization’ again. The topic of driver assistance systems, itself part of the digital transformation of road freight transport, will be the subject of research findings – also with data-based reference to bus tourism – and practical perspectives.
On February 09, the ‘Forum: Digitalization’ in Auditorium II of the FH Westküste University of Applied Sciences, a themed evening on assistance systems in freight transport. Driving assistance systems are a variety of electronic devices in the vehicle that support the driver in certain situations or defuse potentially dangerous situations, such as an emergency brake assistant. The event starts at 16:00. The speakers, who will report on new research findings, will be joined by a local user of assistance systems, Spedition Matthiessen, who will demonstrate the hurdles and benefits in day-to-day operations. This will be followed by a panel discussion and the event will end with a get-together over drinks and light refreshments. A special highlight is the opportunity to visit a truck driver’s cab. All those interested in developments in logistics and the cooperation between man and machine are cordially invited to attend.
The forum is organized by Professor Dr. Gruchmann (Professor of Logistics and member of the German Institute for Tourism Research) and egw:wirtschaftsförderung.
