AIR-Joint research project represented at webinar on digital visitor guidance

“How does digital visitor management work?” – This was the question posed by the speakers and over 200 participants during a webinar on the topic of “Sea of data in mountain tourism”. The webinar was organized by CIPRA International and the community network “Alliance in the Alps”, which are responsible for the speciaAlps2 project. Together with Marina Bergler from the Institute for Sustainable and Innovative Tourism Development (INIT) at Kempten University of Applied Sciences, Lisa Naschert presented the research project “AI-based Recommender for Sustainable Tourism (AIR)” at the webinar.
The AIR project aims to research, develop, implement and evaluate AI-based processes. The temporary congestion of travel and excursion destinations is to be avoided on the basis of AI-based, targeted visitor information. Suitable alternatives should also be identified. The aim is to make a contribution to more sustainable tourism development by equalizing the flow of visitors.

The presentations and videos of the lectures can be found at the following link: www.cipra.org/de/cipra/international/projekte/laufend/specialps2
